MONROE, Conn.Feb. 14, 2025 — Verdek LLC, a leader in EV charging solutions and sustainability initiatives, is proud to announce the joining of Gene Irwin as the Manager of GSA / DoD Fleet. Gene brings a wealth of business experience and passion for advancing green technology. Gene was recently the Technical Project Manager for exploration, production and financial management of a multi-million-dollar energy development project. Prior to that he was the Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions of over $175 Million of small to medium-sized companies in America. Due to his financial and technical background, he created over $125 Million revenue in Artificial Intelligence, CAD/CAM, and major Construction projects. He completed a successful IPO as the Chief Operating Officer of a private banking-software firm. Gene’s technical credentials include BS in Chemical Engineering, MS work in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Thermodynamics R&D and became a Certified Nuclear Scientist.

Gene has been managing GSA/DoD projects for Verdek since late 2024, which also includes commercial charging station projects. Because of his 30-year history of growing technical businesses, he can quickly help our GSA / DoD clients get the exact configurations and technical support necessary to succeed in EVSE technology.

With Gene joining Verdek, we will be able to provide our customers with all levels of design, technical support and fiscal management of their complicated requirements. He is responsible for managing Verdek’s current GSA / DoD government projects as well as supporting our commercial charging station installations in various stages of growth. He will also support the new vertical of Design-Build consultation services of Verdek adeptly managed by the Director of Construction Services, Chris Mohasel.
